No more commercials, no more debates, no more yards and street corners peppered with political signs. Alas, the election is finally over and we can move on...after all, Jack Bauer will be back to save the free world in a few weeks anyways. Although, I will be more than thrilled at Jack's return, I will most definitely NOT miss the chaos and craziness that comes with with campaigns and elections, but even more than that, I will NOT miss Michelle Obama's outrageous outfit choice for such an historic occasion.
The horrendous Narciso Rodriquez frock Michelle Obama chose to wear on election night lacked the usual polish and class of an outfit you usually find in an outfit worn by a first lady. The black cardi was simply confusing, not to mention it completely ruined the proportions of the dress. My eyes kept being drawn to the criss cross black satin trim across the waist and down the sides. I found it somewhat distracting. For such a momentous occasion, I found the choice quite surprising and somewhat uninspiring. She has quite often made some interesting and fashionable choices in the past, but this was a total let down, and dare I say, a fashion faux pas. Although I give her points for going with something outside the typical Oscar de la Renta box, I think the ball of red and black is a total miss.
